I am one of leading female gynaecologist & obstetrician practising in Haltu, Kasba, Chingrighata, EM bypass, Jadavpur, Gariahat. I counsel my patients with empathy and explain to them their medical problems / treatment in a simple and vivid manner.

I provide tender loving care to expectant mother and help them to reach mother hood safely. I excel in surgical skills in open / laparoscopic / minimal access surgeries like ovarian cystectomy, tubal ligation, salpingectomy, ectopic pregnancy, endometriosis ablation for infertility treatment, laparoscopic hysterectomy and caesarean section. I also provide infertility treatments like ovulation induction, IUI and allied measures.

I graduated from Calcutta National Medical College (CNMC) . I was trained in obstetrics and gynaecology right after graduation. I completed my house staff training in obstetrics and gynaecology from CNMC. Thereafter I completed my DGO training from one of the leading teaching hospitals in Kolkata - Chittaranjan Sishu & Seva Sadan (CSSS) and was awarded Diplomate of National Board (obstt & gynae) from National Board of Examinations (New Delhi), I was also awarded Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS) by AMASI & has FOGSI Certified training in infertility.

Gynaecologists are medical practitioners who are specialized in diagnosing and treating issues of the female reproductive system and breasts.

Gynaecologists can treat and diagnose problems related to female reproductive system health, whereas an obstetrician is a gynaecologist who specializes in pregnancy and childbirth.

The common procedures are:
1. PAP smear that is screening for cervical cancer or to detect the reason for white discharge.
2. HSG dye is used to see the inside of womb and patency of tubes.
3. Colposcopy to visualise the cervix as a part of cervical cancer screening.
4. Hysteroscopy to visualise the inside of uterus, detect any abnormality which may cause menstrual abnormalities.

An obstetrician/gynaecologist with extra training and who is certified in reproductive endocrinology can treat infertility in women.
